Chaucer raps
The lead story on Yahoo! this morning was a puff piece about a rapper/medievalist who has released a hip-hop version of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, Canterbury Rap. This smacks of trying too hard to me ("look kids, Chaucer is cool!" "Gee whillikers, Mister, that is truly bangin'"), but it might be fun. What do you all think?

Welcome to English Links
This blog is designed to put up current links to articles of interest to teachers of twelfth grade English at the High School for Enterprise Business and Technology. It is a companion to a web page (currently in development) that will eventually have syllabi, sample lesson plans, an annotated bibliography of links, and a gallery of illustrations. This section is designed for comments, so jump on in and post! All are welcome.
To start out; here are a couple of links to articles about Simon Armitage's new translation of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight;
The Guardian Book Review and the London Times Online.
